Checklist for Success

In order to make the process of offering quality education to our membership more effective, the Washington REALTORS® Education Department needs the following tasks to be complete before, during and after the class.

  1. Choose your Class
  2. Plan your Budget
  3. Cost to you:
    • Instructor fee & expenses
    • Copying of class materials
    • $10 per student certificate to Washington REALTORS®
    • Facility expense and refreshments
    • Marketing costs
  4. Contact the Instructor and discuss dates, instructor fee & expenses (please note: local associations don't have to pay instructor directly, Washington REALTORS can pay instructor and bill you after completion of class).
  5. Fill out contract online. Be sure to add any arrangements made between you and instructor regarding fee & expenses that you would like added to the instructor contract from Washington REALTORS®. Once you have filled out your class information completely, click the submit button (a filled out contract will then pull up) print your contract, sign and fax (or email) to Washington REALTORS® Education 360-357-6627. Remember to send your class tuition prices to Washington REALTORS® with your completed contract for our website.
  6. If the class must be cancelled, please notify Washington REALTORS® and the instructor 10 days prior to the start date of the class. This will allow the instructor enough time to cancel hotel and plane reservations. If your association needs to reschedule the class, please notify not only the instructor but Washington REALTORS® Education as well.
  7. 5 days before the class the Education department will email a PDF file of the class materials needed for class (local associations are responsible for copying of materials). Call the instructor at least 10 days before the class, to ensure that s/he has directions and confirmation of class.
  8. Clover Park forms must be filled out completely the day of class. All students need to sign the bottom of the form and the signature must match the name at the top. Finally if a student does not wish to provide their social security number there is now a space above it to initial.
  9. Sign-in sheets must be signed as students check in for the start of class and after returning from lunch. Please have the monitor make notations on the sign-in sheet if students are late or leave class early.
  10. Please return materials (sign-in sheets, student evaluations, and a typed roster of all students in attendance with office address or preferred address). Note: On occasion and for a variety of reasons, some students may not be receiving clock hours. If this is the case, do not include them on the roster. Please note *Washington REALTORS® will bill your association $10 per certificate sent.
