In an opinion-editorial published in the Everett Herald, Snohomish County Association President David Miles spoke out for the authority the Growth Management Act gives to local governments. "The [Growth Management] act gives this power to local elected officials due to their more in-depth understanding of local issues and budget constraints. There is nothing wrong with the county continuing to fight to keep that power."
