Leadership development is essential to the long-term health of our Association. For that reason, the Washington REALTORS® will be accepting applications for the 2017 Leadership Academy. 

Through this program, we will identify emerging REALTOR® leaders, motivate them and sharpen their leadership skills.  In return, we expect them to exert a strong, positive influence on the future of the Association and our profession.

In this intensive and dynamic leadership experience, participants will combine individual study, group sessions and actual project experience to develop their leadership skills.  If you are selected, you will join fellow REALTORS® in a powerful series of retreats, including sessions on leadership skills, team-building exercises, procedures for goal setting, personal profile analysis, network building and improving communications skills.

Objectives of Leadership Washington:
      1. Identify Washington REALTORS® who have demonstrated leadership potential through job-related and community activities;

      2. Develop leadership skills;

      3. Increase awareness of real estate and association management issues and challenges;

      4. Work to solve real-world problems facing our industry; and

      5. Network with leaders across the state who are actively involved in improving our Association and profession.

THE APPLICATION PERIOD IS CLOSED. commodations for the sessions and minimal expenses which may be incurred during the program.

Selection Criteria

Participation in Leadership Washington is limited to REALTORS® holding membership in Washington.  Washington and Oregon.  Since the number of appointments in the program is limited, applicants who are not selected are encouraged to reapply in subsequent years.

Participants will be chosen by the Leadership Washington Selection Committee  based upon the information completed in this application.  The Selection Committee will be seeking representation from a cross-section of the profession. Consideration will also be given to applicants who demonstrate an ability to contribute to diversity based on age, gender, ethnicity, geography, specialty, etc.  Attendance at retreats and quarterly sessions is mandatory.  Those who fail to attend may be asked to withdraw, with no refund of tuition.
