INSIDE THE INVESTIGATION THAT'S SHAKING UP THE REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY

Take a guided tour inside Newsday's Peabody Award-winning investigation Long Island Divided and its documentary film Testing the Divide, which are raising awareness of illegal steering by real estate agents. Pulitzer Prize winner and No. 1 bestselling author Bill Dedman was a lead reporter on Newsday's three-year investigation. Bill developed the methodology for the investigation, including recruiting, training, and deploying 25 testers with hidden cameras.

Bill will share with Washington REALTORS®:

  • How tests were conducted
  • What were the major findings
  • How to avoid steering
  • Can brokers talk about schools
  • How to ensure fair treatment
