The Lewis County Chapter of REALTORS® will be hosting a Candidate Forum at the Veteran’s Memorial Museum, 100 SW Veterans Way, Chehalis, on October 04, 2016 beginning at 6:30 p.m.


Chehalis – The Lewis County Chapter of REALTORS® will be hosting a Candidate Forum at the Veteran’s Memorial Museum, 100 SW Veterans Way, Chehalis, on October 04, 2016 beginning at 6:30 p.m. Local candidates for Judge and Commissioner will be present. This is a public forum and Lewis County voters are encouraged to attend and hear from these candidates. The event will also be broadcast live by KELA and streamed through their website at: http://www.kelaam.com

FORUM PARTICIPANT SCHEDULE:
7:00 p.m.             Superior Court Judge candidates Katherine Gulmert & Joely O’Rourke
7:30 p.m.             First District Commissioner candidates Edna Fund and Dan Keahey
8:00 p.m.             Second District Commissioner candidates Bob Bozarth and Bobby Jackson

QUESTION AND ANSWER PERIOD:

8:30 p.m.             Questions submitted from the audience
9:00 p.m.             Adjourn

Maree Lerchen, Chair, Lewis County Chapter of Washington REALTORS®, will moderate.

Questions will be directed to each candidate by four panelists:

  • Eric Schwartz – Editor – The Chronicle
  • Todd Chaput – Chair, Public Facilities District & President of Centralia-Chehalis Chamber
  • Brent Taylor – Designated Broker, John L. Scott Real Estate, Centralia
  • Robert Lund – Designated Broker, Century 21 Lund Real Estate, Chehalis

FORUM FORMAT:

  • Each candidate will have three minutes to respond to each of four questions.
  • Each candidate will have 1 minute for rebuttal to their opponent’s response.
  • Questions will be directed alternately so that each candidate will go first twice and second twice.
  • Questions from the audience will be in writing and screened by the committee for duplications and content pertaining to Lewis County issues.
