As nationwide concern about the spread of Coronavirus continues to grow, Washington REALTORS® leadership would like to assure our members that we are taking prudent precautions in response. Our team has a continuity plan in place to mitigate the possible impacts of the outbreak on our operations. The health and safety of our REALTOR® family is our top concern.

“WR leadership has been working to ensure continuity in our operations. However, the safety and well-being of members and our staff is our top priority,” says Washington REALTOR® President, Kitty Wallace. “With that in mind, we are suspending all non-essential staff and leadership travel at the State Association level through March 31. We are also cancelling or rescheduling WR classes, meetings and other events between now and the end of March. We will revisit this situation at that time and make any adjustments as warranted. At this time, the WR office remains open and the Spring Business Conference, April 22-24 in Skamania, WA, is still scheduled to take place. We will need to make a final decision regarding the Conference no later than April 6 but for now, there is no reason to change your plans if you are expecting to attend. Let me stress, this situation is changing daily if not hourly, so we will keep you informed of any changes in our response.”

Please note that we will be using video and phone conferencing to continue the work of our committees and task forces. Each Local Association should develop their own policy and procedures regarding meetings and member interaction during this coronavirus outbreak.
