How has the ABR® designation impacted your business?

One of the things I share with potential clients is the importance of choosing a REALTOR® with designations and certifications. I explain to them that even if they don’t know exactly what those letters behind our names mean, there is one thing they can be sure of — those of us with designations and certifications have invested in ourselves and our businesses to be better educated and more knowledgeable than the average real estate agent. With the ABR designation, my clients can be assured that I have taken the time to further my education as it pertains to handling the special concerns and needs of a Buyer.

What is the best advice you have for those thinking about getting their ABR® designation?

The coursework alone offers such an abundance of information that you can put to practice in your business right away that it’s worth the time and investment!

Do you have any other certifications/designations?

AHWD, e-PRO, ABR, CRS, MCNE (Master Certified Negotiation Expert), HSE (Home Staging Expert)

What does being a REALTOR® mean to you?

Being a REALTOR® is about service. Education. Camaraderie. Excellence. As I have become involved in the REALTOR® association over the years I have learned more and more about what it means to be a part of something that stands for things beyond simply being in the real estate business. Personally, I aspire to be the best I can be in anything I take on, and being a REALTOR® is one reflection of how I strive for excellence in my business.
