Agency Law Consumer Outreach Campaign is Now LIVE!

Washington REALTORS® has provided extensive education for real estate practitioners about the Agency Law changes effective January 1st. However, a common request from members is for WR to help educate consumers about these changes. Washington REALTORS® has mobilized a consumer media campaign to help educate your consumers about the changes that REALTORS® championed to promote fairness and transparency in the real estate transaction.

We are launching a TV spot in most major metros and we're working with various media outlets to raise awareness of REALTOR®-championed Agency Law changes and what they mean for the consumer. Visit the site to download a one-page educational flyer for you to give to your consumers and access other resources!

Washington REALTORS® has been working with the WA Department of Licensing and the Appraisers’ Coalition, and the Appraisers’ Coalition recently sent out a new document clarifying that residential appraisers can perform appraisals of residential properties that could be redeveloped with more than 4 dwelling units, based on their education, experience, and training.

See the link below to read the full announcement from the Appraisers' Coalition of Washington.
